Roadmap (preview version)

This is for the preview version, so a lot of them are minor fixes and content additions.

  • Design fixes
    • No flickering when loading web pages
    • Fix to a small colour issue in Firefox
  • Design improvements
    • Better layout for IRC channel and voice chat connection information
    • IRC and voice chat rules/website page links where they exist
    • Better explanation/visualisation of different types of IRC links
  • New content (which may result in new categories)
    • Web chats (chats on a web page that are not based on publicly accessible IRC)
    • More writings and sites as existing research and submission stacks are looked through (there's a lot to go through...).
    • New info page explaining activity indicators (we will be adding a key in the future (see 'future' section), but for particular technical reasons, we can't do it in the near future.)
  • [hopefully] New ways to submit feedback and data.
    • This has been a hard one to find the right solution for atm. We hope we can find other means that will work more conveniently for everyone.
  • Performance improvements
    • Faster loading times with better hosting.

      • Darkfang Archive still has no plans atm to include multilingual content, because nobody at Darkfang is confident enough in other languages to properly be able to translate and curate, but we want this available in case we ever do have the capabilities.

      • Including (where available) map information, times, links, etc.
      • iCalendar feeds
  • New navigation methods
    • Navigate regional-specific content by region (regional lists, regional groups, meets and events)
    • Navigate by date (where available)
    • Scope filtering for categories (view more categories at once)

  • Tagging system for media based on general subjects, ideas (eg. paradigms, beliefs), format (eg. rant, article, advice, personal account), etc.

  • More curated items from outsider perspectives, where well-informed examples exist (press/media/academia)
